really looking forward to that too, a bit of optimism going into next season

not sure if you saw Eklund's blog, but he mentions the league might consider double headers, where teams would play 2 games in 2 days..? isn't that completely absurd?? lol

Yeah one is a team's best rookie in a decade and the other will be having his rookie season next year where he'll be their 5th best rookie in the last 10 years

I think he says two games in one day...no way in hell that happens. I think we’re likely to see mini series though like 3 games against the same team in like 4 days. Minimize travel and cost that way would make sense

Be nice to see the Habs have a rookie get that recognition again next year.....can anyone say Romanov?

oh yeah that's what I meant lol.. ridiculous idea, don't even see how players could agree to this. and even 3 in 4 is pretty intense, I don't think teams would find that too enticing either

I think the players, much like the league, will want a full season to get their full salary... this covid business is changing a lot of things and everyone, including players have had to adapt (well aside from covidiots but oh well....there will always be morons in the world)

they seem to be growing in numbers everyday though, it's kind of concerning...

i was thinking maybe they would try to play as close as possible to 82 games next season, and if there are still confinement measures in place the season after then they would consider more "drastic" changes such as 3 games in 4 nights

Numbers have been going up since schools opened. And trust me students barely give a (frank) about the rules

They're playing 82 games. ufas this year are pissed about what they will get offered this year. Imagine next year if they play sub-82?

Yes because the biggest germ spreaders on a normal year have been freed to the public during a pandemic

well I don't think the ufa market would be the biggest factor in determining this, just the general financial impact on the league could be sufficient
